Adirondack 46 High Peaks (Completed!)

Peaks completed: 46 / 46 (12 in Winter)

Aside from my very daunting goal to summit all twelve Canadian provincial/territorial high points, I recently completed a more modest goal of climbing all 46 Adirondack High Peaks! All 46 were originally believed to be over 4000 feet, though a few have been confirmed to be lower after further surveying.

I’ve been updating this page as I completed the peaks, below I’ve included links to all my trip reports, so if you’re interested in tackling this list, hopefully you’ll get some (mostly good I hope) ideas.

I began my 46er journey on July 31st 2022, when I summitted Gray Peak. I became a 46er on February 24th 2024, when I summitted Iroquois Peak.

Peaks summitted by season (date ranges approximate):
Spring (March 19th to June 19th): 8
Summer (June 20th to September 21st): 7
Fall (September 22nd to December 20th): 20
Winter (December 21st to March 18th): 11

Some numbers:
– 38 (Peaks were summitted solo)
– 13 (Trips from Toronto)
– 9 (Trips where I camped, 7 in the backcountry)
– 5 (Most peaks done in a day as well as done in a trip – 2 and 3 times respectively)
– 5 (Different sets of footwear hiked in – Vasque Day Hiking Boots, Zamberlan Vioz Hiking Boots, Brooks Cascadia Trail Runners, La Sportiva Trango Hybrid Mountaineering Boots, La Sportiva Cube Mountaineering Boots)

As of February 2024 (when I finished the 46) I have no immediate goal of completing the Winter 46, though I may tackle a few of them here and there if I’m in the area on a group trip in the winter.
